Perfectlens is an online contact lens store that looked for a new channel to obtain more customers. They believe in influencer marketing potential, and I was in charge of the project. The primary goal of this project is to investigate the market and monitor the potential of the social media field.
Firstly, I researched how other companies collaborate with influencers. After collecting some reports/data, I came up with an initial idea. Here is the process at a glance.
The commission fee for working with influencers is much higher than expected. On top of that, coordinating with influencers takes a lot of time, and it needs more human resources. I had to rethink the process to save money and time.
I acknowledged that we could not afford well-known influencers, and therefore, I retargeted to collaborators who can work with us on a low budget. By the meaning of low-budget, is we will send FREE contact lenses only, and No commission.
Instead of actively seeking influencers, I set up a landing page with an automated Google form to collect collaborator information. This approach saves time searching influencers, allowing them to reach out to us if they are interested.
To ensure the quality of collaborations with Perfectlens, I established specific rules and conditions. Collaborators with a higher follower count are eligible for receiving more free contact lenses.

To clarify the collaboration process, I created a transition diagram outlining the steps for both collaborators and Perfectlens.
The single landing page serves as the entry point for collaborators, designed to provide clear information.
At this stage, we noticed the potential for users to use fake accounts to receive free contacts. To address this, I implemented a verification code generator on the thanks page. Collaborators were then instructed to send the code via Instagram SMS, ensuring the authenticity of their accounts.
After thorough review by all stakeholders, I collaborated closely with the development team to launch the page!
Confirm every steps to ensure we didn't miss anything, especially whether the Google Form collects collaborators' information properly.
Since this project was low budget and solo work, I needed to consider the entire process should be easy and automatic. As a result, the procedure requires only a few emails between collaborators and Perfectlens. Also, within 20 days, over 100 collaborators posted their experience on Instagram and encouraged their followers to buy contact lenses from Perfectlens.
